Thursday Writing Quote ~ Robert Frost

Six Sentence Sunday - Knight of Hearts #3

Back again, Sixers and fans, with another snippet from Knight of Hearts. This comes early in the story when Mac is talking with Rachel about getting back into the dating pool after the end of his twelve year marriage. Contrary as ever, Rachel has just accused him of only looking for "a good time."

"What's wrong with a good time?" Mac said, defending his position. "As long as it's mutual. It's not like I'm looking to take advantage. I'm not trying to impress anyone with how suave I am—"

Rachel couldn't help laughing—suave Mac was not.

Mac's eyes narrowed, obviously reading her reaction as an affront. "—or how rich, or even housebroken."
